The only passenger on Tupdale!  Published figures show that in the
mid-50's a small, lonely station such as Tupdale only had an average of 6
passengers a week.  No point in filling the platform with people then, is there?

I admit to being lazy. I did
not bother to find out what
the local paper was in 1955!

indentThere's a good reason for including this photo on the web site; on the real model the station building has some huge windows which need something behind them.  It is however, some 5 feet away from the viewer and, despite being illuminated, it is impossible to see the interior clearly.  Now everyone can see my simply-contrived period interior and "Willie Eccerslike", the solitary passenger!

Nip outside and see if a train's coming will you?
